I have a 2004 Mexican Blues Jr. with the traditional silver "backwards" control panel with black letters/numbers. The new Blues Jr.'s have a black control panel with white letters/numbers. The new panels are also the right way around when you look at it when the amp's behind you.

The letters/numbers on my Blues Jr. are really starting to fade and/or wear off, and I'd very much like to replace my silver "reversed" control panel with a new black "right way around" panel. Is this a straight forward exchange, or is there anything that might make this either hard to do or impossible?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, thats not gonna happen. The crome is the chassis and the black is painted on. There's no separate panel.

True.

But IIRC there's a vendor on Ebay offering a vinyl panel overlay for these amps that features a black background with white markings and numerals that are inverted from the stock orientation.

No, the face plate is separate and can be changed, it is not part of the chassis. Where to purchase a black plate? IDK

You can see the separate plate in this pic.

This is the same on the HRDlx.
