Hi, new to the forum. So I have a Champion 100 that I modded so that I could use the speakers on it interchangeably to any amp. Thing is, upon doing research, I'm a bit reluctant to use a tube amp on it, because I don't know what the speakers are rated for, exactly. I would think 50w each, but idk.

I'm turning a Vox Valvetronix vt40+ into a head to plug into the speakers, and they're both 8ohms, so that's not the issue. Only thing is, I can't find anything about what the speakers in the Champion are rated for, they just say 'specially designed for fender amps' and nothing really else.

The Vox amp is only 40w, so I'm not worried at all, but just for later knowledge, does anybody have any clue about the speakers?

Thanks

No model number and/or date stamp on paper stuck to magnet? Or stamped onto speaker frame?

Are these the OEM speakers than came with the Champion 100? They should be able to handle 100-watts. 100-watts of power from solid-state amp is same as 100-watt of power from tube amp. Tone & clipping may not be the same, but the power is the same.

Excepting Japan, Asian-made electronic components do not observe the standard EIA coding protocols.

Nope, no serial number on the inside of the amp. But if it can take 100w, than that's fine. I just don't know as much about tube amps as I thought, and was planning on putting 100w tube amps in it in the future, just wasn't sure If I could do that.
