I see lots of LE fender products on ebay that I can't find on fender.com.

For example, this LE '65 Princeton Reverb with a 12" speaker.

How and/or why is this stuff 'out there' but not found on Fender's website?

That amp sounds like an FSR model and those products usually aren't cataloged on the FMIC website.

There seems to be a lot of FSR Princetons out there. Most of what I've seen on ebay is purely cosmetic. This is the first I've seen with a 12" speaker.

They should have put the DR output transformer on it to go with the speaker.

Then it wouldn't be a Princeton Reverb.

As if the modern PRs are really PRs anyway.

It's close enough for the pilgrims who can't afford a real Princeton Reverb.

Arjay, if you were going to design an amp, what would it be?

It would be a line of tube amps encompassing various power outputs, from six watts to eighty-five, and they would be mated to a variety of speaker configurations. Most would have two discrete pre-amp channels as well as reverb and tremolo. Some would be combos, others piggybacks. Each chassis would be known by its circuit design, eg: AA165, AA864, AA1164, AB763, etc. They'd be manufactured using the finest mil-spec components available and be easy to repair and maintain, with a product life-cycle of at least fifty years.

I'd build millions of them and make a fortune.

The definitive response.

It is a nice looking PRRI, though.

Let me know when you get ready to build them, I would love to help!

The prototypes are all ready for production......

If you'd like to bankroll the construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, staff it with dedicated assembly technicians, arrange for shipping carriers, create a dealer network, and hire an advertising and marketing department, we can begin anytime you wish.

I could be wrong but I've heard that many of Fender's old amps designs were not copyrighted.
