Just a light hiss.

I found a qualified technician, but unfortunately he is on vacation until 12/28. In the mean while, I went back to experimenting with the amp and I have a new symptom that might help diagnose the problem. With either guitar plugged into either input 1 or 2 there is the dreaded hum. If I touch the strings, or if I touch the metal sleeve on my cables, the hum goes away. Do I have a ground problem? Is this something I can fix myself?

Very likely. Does your amp have the three-prong plug, and your outlet also three-prong, and certain that outlet is grounded?

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
