short version:
IF reverb/reverb recovery tubes don't fix.....
Don't rule out taking out reverb pan and inspecting it while amp is on, rotate the pan slowly til upside-down. If you now have reverb as in my case it was a bent tab guiding the very small wires to the side contact. One of the wires was simply touching one of the screws.

Had a supersonic 22 where throughout the years, the reverb would occasionally fade out.
Changed reverb & reverb recovery tubes several times with numerous new ones. Took it to a licensed fender service tech ( I guess not a good one lol ). After that I changed the rca's.
I even changed the pan for a new one, same fade out. Got to a point where I had more time than not with no verb hardly.
I just kept playing my other amps that I enjoy and covered the ss22.

SO finally, last night I took pan out of sleeve and left it on cardboard and moved it about a foot away from the cab. Still same thing. So I picked it up and started very slowly turning the pan and eventually when the pan was upside down, voila! The amp was acting as it should, man a lil verb can really sound sweet. Anyways, I grabbed my magnifying glass and saw where one of metal tabs where the tiny tiny wires were was slightly bent in a way that one of the tiny wires was touching a screw.
hope this helps some, I have read about A LOT of ppl with the same issue on good amps~

I use imgur.com. It's free and yes you could put a picture in your signature. As long as that picture remains on imgur, it will work.
