So I've been kinda GASsing for another amp lately, and have just learned I'm going to be coming in to a little bit of extra cash (oddly enough, one of my investments is still paying dividends!). The local C/L has been running an ad off and on for a couple of months listing an early '60's SANO amp. Amp is described as a 1x15" combo, featuring trem and reverb, and sporting c.35 Watts.
Seller said it was all PTP wired, all tube, recently serviced, has all new caps and power tubes, and the receipts to prove it.
I can't find much info about these amps online, other than that they were made in NJ from the mid-fifties to about the late seventies. Opinions seem to indicate that they were heavily built, and were sort of similar construction and tone-wise to the amps being built by neighboring Jersey manufacturer Ampeg at the same time period.
Seller's asking around three bills. I might be able to get it a little cheaper, since it doesn't seem to be moving. Any one out there in Fender amp land have any experiences, knowledge, or opinions about these amps? Thanks, ...O.

Is it a Model 30 or 50 amp? They use 8417 output tubes. These are very good tubes, but a little hard to find NOS or good testing ones.

There is a Sano rebuild thread with photographs over on the Fender Forum. As I recollect, these amps seem to have been designed for use with accordions, with electrified-guitars as a secondary consideration. The model mentioned in the thread is also equipped with a non-EQ'd input for use with a ceramic-cartridge phonograph or a tape recorder.
