Any reason to not go with the ted weber kit?

http://www.tedweber.com/6a20-c-kt

That is princeton reverb-ish. I don't think it is quite right.

Quote:
Two 6V6, 20-22W. Classic BF AB763 Circuit. Two channels, vibrato and reverb.

It is just cheap enough at under $700 to make me think it is the way to go. 1x12 tho. How much of the sound of a princeton reverb is in the 10" speaker?

I think the earliest Princeton Reverb circuit was AA1164, not AB763. Maybe, compare Weber's DIY kit with Fender's AA1164 schematic?

I've heard of two -- AA1164 and AA764. Still trying to figure out where the AB763 fits.

Ah! Super Reverb. Not a princeton.

Time to keep looking...

AB763 is all over the place on this page ...

Should just buy a reissue.

No, I believe that the AB763 circuits are mostly 6L6GC types. And the Deluxe Reverb.

AA964 = Princeton (no verb). AA1164 = Princeton Reverb. AFAIK.

Ok. This seems like an actual princeton reverb fake.

http://www.tedweber.com/6a14-c-kt

You tubing way too many old amps.

I would have bought this @#$@# kit by now if they actually let me on their forums so I could read the @!#$@#$ build threads. Bastards.

Ordered it. See what it is like in 2-3 weeks. God only knows how long it will take me to put it together after that.

2-3 weeks lead time is a lie!

I'm never going to get this thing.
