I couldn't be happier with the tone of this amp !

I did forget to mention that I played the entire clip on the neck pickup and so that kinda limited the range a bit .

I'll be shipping off the other pair of CTS to weber next week and that should keep me in tonal bliss for years to come !

Chris,

Quiet nice tone, through my Sony headphones (XB700). Are you using a stand-alone mike or the phone's mike? Can hear harmonics of the speakers interacting with each other.

What were the settings on the amp and guitar?

Thanks!

Tascam DR-05 pocket digital recorder Beemer

5 treble 5 mids and 6 bass
4 on vibrato and 4 on speed (to start)
reverb at 3 (to start)

CAUTION RANT BELOW OFF TOPIC

PS that great premier 120 I mentioned earlier in this thread was shipped with one layer of bubble wrap in a cut down used box, tubes were loose and broken and the circuit was damaged so its off back to the stooge who shipped it and I get to wait for my money ((( Thanks Reverb.com ))) !!!!
If you buy from there make darn sure its a seller with a lot of positive feedback !

Dude its not rocket science ! ya gotta at least protect the tubes ! no retainers at all and the idiot thought they would stay in the sockets ! MORON !!!

So dumb to not to it correct, the first time. Maybe, the seller has never shipped anything that uses vacuum tubes.

I made a Youtube video of a HWY-1 2006 Stratocaster that I had just tuned up using my I-phone
Its the Strat through my route 66 Compressor side only into the Super Reverb.

This isn't an audition  just showing what the guitar sounded like
A good friend laughed and said a piece of junk (guitar) would sound good through this amp
I believe he is right !

Chris, really sound good! Amp oozes clean, scooped-out mids, tight bass signature Fender tone.

Thanks, for the vid. PS: you have access to a Paul? Be interested in the tone that amp makes with humbuckers.

I wish !
No I don't have a single Humbucker in the house
However if you have an old Les paul just lying around Steve, I'll be glad to give it a home 8)

For that era... I can only get this old '59 Burst, owned by some old geezer (only used in Church, on Sundays). Imagine! He named the thing "Pearly Gates." How unprofessional!

Ya Beemer I really like how they turned out too !
One dark purple and another dark brown so far, Deep Blue next !

I knew installing that wash basin in the basement would pay off

Funny thing about the Super is that i still have a pair of Groove tube 6L6GC's in there and I have two strong matched pairs of RCA's in the tube stash drawer, it sounds so amazing I hate to change anything 8)
