We could probably fill an entire page on V-2 and how first stage preamp tubes affect the entire sound of any of fender's reverb amps.
This amp came with a very stout and probably original RCA 7025 in V-2 .
Tonight I went to the stash and grabbed a JAN green lettered 5751 (sylvania I think) and popped it in the first gain stage of the reverb channel (V-2) and WOW !!!
My route 66 pedal is always on (comp side only) and so keep that in mind when I reference volume settings.
So three on the dial and stuff is coming off the walls  !
Slightly over 2 is the sweet spot and has a bold and bouncy bottom with excellent highs, still way loud if you have close neighbors so.........
I'm blessed to have neighbors who are gone most of the time and not so close that I worry much.
Any way, That 30% drop in gain to me is just perfect and gives me a clean but powerful sound that just flat out makes me smile !
Cleaned up that preamp so much.
The added current of that new Rectifier coming from beemer is gonna just be too much !!! 8)

That and I found a nice used copy of a visual sound Open Road OD pedal that is smooth like butta and my Signadrive stacked on with it just is the absolute perfect super hot Blues or Classic Rock sound.

I showed the wife a pick today that I wore the end off of in two days, and it's an extra heavy Dunlop 1.40 Ultex
Yep makes me wanna Play ! 8)

Is Photo bucket being stupid again ???

The three prong cord was scary at best so i re wired it and made it safe.
Bias control mod (black face) is done
New Rectifier from Beemer and 6L6's running at 35.1 ma and 35.2 ma

Oh my the amp came alive !!!
I was sure i needed to swap out those WGS Veterans for alnicos to get what I wanted, No way ! this amp has a Hard bouncy low end that even with 9-42's on my strat and CS 54 pickups I get amazing powerful low end (piano like) and freakishly sweet highs !!!

Exaggerating ??? Not an ounce !!! Dang ! 8)

SO that was quick; fixed up and sounding great.
PB s__ucks there are a lot of sites that don't allow you to edit a replied to post. Fortunately not an issue here.

Your a busy guy Beemer , no problem.
I've only done the bias mod and reinstalled the three prong power cord as it wasn't very well done and the wires were pulled extremely tight.

The Jupiter caps and a fresh set of atoms in the Filter cap box were a bonus and came with the amp.
By looking at the board, several of the CC resistors were upgraded to one watt versions also.

I got the deal of a lifetime with this amp and at 550 out the door I can't fuss at all about a few minor fixes.

She does sound sweet !

I feel your pain....
I switched to Yahoo's Flickr, it's still free and not to hard to figure out.
I have been editing my few original threads, still have a couple to re-edit/replace all the pic links in.
It is a PITA, but the threads may be of use to others down the road and its the least I can do to repay this site and its users for all the help I've received.

Damn! Sorry about this Chris. I hope most of the good photos were backed-up on your personal HD.

Do you have Cloud service with your phone?

I have nearly every photo archived on dvd or cd.
Hopefully you'll all join me at the TDPRI to share our amp stories and such as they host photos themselves there.
This third party stuff is a pain in the neck !

It just saddens me to see all these years of posts destroyed
