Yup! Looks like one of the last 6L6GC iterations, made at the GE Owensboro, KY plant.

Just a Youtube video I shot this morning to share
My 50th 2004 Strat into the Super Reverb

This amp has become My#1 , You guys know how many amps I've had, some super stars and some duds
This one just shines !

https://youtu.be/ygOOge960q8

I thought it sounded pretty darn good for an i-phone video 8)

Thanks guys !

Shifting gears again for work, leaving the Bail bizz to younger guys !
I took my first day off in four years to celebrate my 50th B-day (last April)
Decided right then and there to get a real job with days off and vacations.

So...............
I'm now the hunting and fishing Dept Manager for MC Sports ( I get to play with guns ! )

We shall see how it all works out, a lot less $$$ so that will affect my gear buying however I'll have more time to play and maybe even join a small blues trio ???? Maybe !

"I thought this might be one of the tubes produced in early 2002/3 by GT; after buying the equipment, rights and about 90% of the OEM components to produce the 6L6 in San Fernando California. They produced about 25k tubes." from The Tube Amp Book- dlx revised P.112
"Some for Fender(blue label) the rest labeled in GT red", speculation on my part here.

Great playing/sounding Super, bluesman.

Thanks for the replies guys !
The Super reverb has more than fulfilled that "sound in my head" thing we talk about here.
I was sure it was a tweed sound I wanted, but really for me the sound of a Deluxe Reverb, Super Reverb or even a Twin Reverb is where it's at, That solid bouncy bottom that seems to never give in even at the high end of the volume knob is what I like.

As far as those Blue Label GT's / GE's ??? I have three matched pairs of RCA 6L6GC's in the tube cabinet and feel no need to swap em ! 8)

When I did the Circuit work on this amp last year I replaced the "bug" in the tremolo circuit and I'm starting to get a slight rhythmic tic, anyone else have any issues with newer "bugs" ??

The Blue GT GE 6L6GC are the very last iteration of the famous STR-6L6GC from their plant in KY. Not the sweet midrange of the BP RCA. Really, IMHO... only the Tungsol BP 6550 and GEC/MOV KT-66 have comparable mids.

All four tube are super tough and last forever.

As for the ticking. Yes, modern day bugs (I think they are primarily made in China, now) --- are a bit noisier. Try covering the bug with blacker & heavier shrink tubing. That sometimes helps.

The only reason I brought it up was the GT stamp & Fender p/n on the tube and the lacking GE stamp on the base. A p/n stock tube from the 2003 Vibro-King Custom and the timing of the GT re-produced 6L6GE.

Did a lot of forum reading before finding a more believable story, GT bought the bulk parts from the KY plant, while the actual assembly was in China and not the GT California testing/labeling plant.

As long as they produce the desired output is all that really matters.

I thought the 1980-90s Groove Tube (blue or blue label) were the last of the US made (KY) 6L6GC stock. Some of the last being made at the Canadian GE plant. Overstock, that are now NOS.

The GT 6L6GE reissued tube are strictly modern Shuguang designed and manufactured. Some mention of GE engineering, dies, and equipment used. However, they do not have the specs or construction of the original GE 7851A mil spec tubes, made at the Owensboro plant. Same as the commercially labeled GE STR-6L6GC.

GT-6L6GE Chinese reissued:
