Hello fender community.
I have Had my Princeton reverb 2 for a number of years and am very happy with it, however a friend of mine has put me on to an offer for an EV speaker. (Don't know whether it is the original upgrade one or what). I currently have a Celestion anniversary speaker in it and It does sound awesome. What is the general consensus, are the EVs the stuff of legend for the PR2 just as they are for the supper champ, or are they not worth it?

The EV is a punchy speaker, with a huge magnet structure. It's very efficient so you can expect the amp to be somewhat louder than with the Celestion. It will also be significantly heavier. EV's are normally used for high-power applications so don't expect any speaker breakup with your amp's lower wattage output.

Been a while, but though I would update. Put the EV in and it sound amazing!!! I love my celestion dearly and am keeping it aside, however I cannot recommend the EV enough. True it is massively heavier but the sound is very much worth it.
