I am returning my 1970 Twin Reverb back to stock-ish specs. I have two Weber Chicago speakers going in as well as a baffle they made to stock specs. I have Fender grill cloth that I need to install on the baffle. Is there anything special about this or is it pretty straight-forward? Make sure it is straight and staple it? Thanks.

It's pretty straight forward if you know what you're doing.

Arjay got me through my first one with some advice
Get a helper !!!
staple one edge, roll a piece of 1x in the other edge and pull (helpers part) when its straight and tight staple away !
using the board as a straight edge makes it pull evenly
Hope that helps

Blues left out only one small but crucial detail...Take your time!!!

Arjay talked me through my first one and Blues hit it on the head, follow them to the letter!

One more thing. Is there anything that is supposed to go behind the cloth, between the cloth and baffle from the front?

Fender used thin felt strips to dampen any vibration
(black felt)

Ok, thanks. Also, was it just velcro strips used to put the baffle onto the amp or did they have a few screws to screw into the baffle? The reason I ask is because my baffle I have now was modified heavily for a 15" speaker and it was screwed into the amp.

Not sure what year fender went to velcro to secure the grill screen , but i would assume it was way after 1980
otherwise the strips that lifted the grill cloth off the baffle were permanently attached to the baffle bard itself
