Hi
I have this "Made in USA" Fender solid state amp that I picked up in UK probably in the 70's. It's a smallish bare-bones (vol/tone/reverb/tremolo) unit with a 10" speaker. I couldn't find out anything on-line about it (or even referencing it). Don't know if it's junk or worth cleaning up. I'm told it may be a Teisco, from the Lawsuit era or a forgery. Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks

It looks like a transistorized Teisco Checkmate that someone stuck a Fender logo on.

All Teisco amps were 1960-70's Japanese-made knockoffs, in part, to satisfy the Asian market. As the cost of imported new Marshall, Vox, & Fender amps were beyond most musicians --- during this era. Their guitars are kinda semi-cult classic collectables. Prolly because a lot of us started playing on used ones --- many moons ago. :)
