This look a DPDT momentary switch .

You can put any switch that fit in the chassis hole * , no need to look same ,and you won't find original one IMO

Google DPDT momentary switch , you 'll see many switches.

* look a switch fit like a Stratocaster pickup switch

I understand you push the button and it stay down ? You push and it go up ?

There 2 push buttons ,
1- Push on push off
2- Momentary

In undestand you need the number 1 Yes ?

You may want to try and rehab that switch. Lots of Deoxit, brash brush, and solder may work. Does the spring and plunger still work ok?

Ya Beemer. It functions physically but the
Gauge jumps all over depending on how
Much pressure you apply to the switch

Have you tried using a lot of contact cleaner like Deoxit DN or GN-5? And reshaping the bends in the contacts? Saving that switch maybe you're best bet. It'll be hard to find an exact replacement for that TT.

Good luck!

If all else fails, check eBay for your same model of tester, and buy one for spare parts. You might find a non-working one for cheap.

It looks as if you have some corrosion between the posts and contacts, and you might need to re-crimp the post connections.

You must use good quality contact cleaner , all cleaner are not same . listen BMW advice , GC Electronic brand is very good too , not so good as Deoxit , but lots better radio shack and other wich are poor .

Your switch look to have "green" spots where is contact . What is it ?

Stratele, the green stuff looks like copper oxide. A nearby electrolytic cap may have leaked and caused the oxidation. Or the unit had been stored in a damp place for a long time. How much copper metal is left, after he cleans the oxides off will determine if the switch is salvageable.

actually guys the green is fader lube/cleaner
Its very blue/green
I'm beginning to doubt the problem is in the switch ??? however rocking your thumb does cause the meter to jump so........ who knows
I have manipulated the contacts about as much as i dare to, I tried the fader lube cleaner as I'm out of deoxit for the moment.
