Hi I'm new to these forums and to the vintage gear scene in general after this amp kind of fell into my lap. It's a drip edge, black line bassman. Anyway, I could use some help identifying this circuit and it looks like there has been a mod done but i have no idea what it is or does. Also, any tips on work that should be done to this amp would be welcome as well. Thanks.

Looks like the original brown capacitors under the 'doghouse' are going to be your first job. 99/1 they need replacement. Any sign of blisters on the ends of those ?
Nowadays they reckon caps are good for maybe eight to ten years if you're lucky. Those old brown ones are probably 46 years old !
Looks really clean and original though :D
Welcome to vintage Fenderland...........check out Gerald Weber on YouTube. He has some good videos about Fender amps, common problems and how to sympathetically restore them. Steep learning curve if you haven't been here before
Also check out vintagefenderamprepair.com they have schematics for most vintage Fenders and layouts for the less electronically minded like me.
Just make sure your caps are 'drained' before you touch anything else 'cos it could hurt otherwise !
