For the tolex I used a little 409 Spray, worked it in with another tooth brush and then used a separate soft cloth to wipe away the grime. I had to do this a couple times.

For the grill cloth Windex window cleaner works great.

Not sure is good for a cloth , is stay on cloth you can't remove it like on a glass . Cloth is not tough as glass. Just a wet / damp piece of cloth will remove some dirt. Or use car seat spray cleaner ? It is made for cloth.

I don't know 409 spray but tolex is tough and you can use damp cloth to remove 409

Thanks for the cleaning advice guys. I got the board out. The tranny was just loose and the screws tightened right up with no problems. The one tube has what appears to me to be black ovals on opposite sides of the tube. Would this indicate a blown tube? Everything looks original and untouched to my novice eye. So unless anyone sees issues with the board the plan is to install the speakers when they arrive and try turning on the amp with the tester installed.

No this is a manufacturing process

Everything looks original and untouched to my novice eye. So unless anyone sees issues with the board the plan is to install the speakers when they arrive and try turning on the amp with the tester installed.

You do not look at the dog house , one of the most important parts of the amp ; power supply filter caps . Dog house is the square steel box at the top of the amp , tubes side . Photos please .
These caps may be dry , worn out

For a better tone ,like when the amp was new , you need to replace all brown caps on the board . These are useful for tone.

The brown bias filter caps , close to the pilot light needs to be replaced . Put 100 MFD , 100 volts .

Replace all the power supply filter caps inside dog house.

Hopefully that's what you want. But if not send a pic if possible to show me what to take pics of. My Dad said he had a friend at work test the tubes before he had to retire and they were all good. I can't find the Reverb unit my Dad said should have been with the amp. I also can't find pics of it online to know what I'm looking for. He said it didn't work. If I can't find it can you find them for sale?
