Greetings, im long overdue to replace the speakers in my Fender Super Twin Reverb (black face) Sr # A842669. 395 watt peak
It still has the original Fender Musical Instrument Special Design Speakers.
The speaker packard states: MIN LOAD 4 OHMS 180 Watt RMS. Can I replace these speakers with a higher OHM speaker? 8 OHM for instance?
What would you recommend under $150.00 each to replace the 2 -12" speakers? I was considering the Eminence Commonwealth 12" It is not available in 4 OHMS however if I cannot excede the origional 4 OHM speakers. Thanks for your Help. sincerely ron

Two 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel would be a load of 4 ohms. I thought the Super Twin Reverb have Jenson 12" 8 ohm speakers wired
as such. Remember speakers wired in parallel reduces load and speakers wired in series increase the impedance load.
