Is there a way to use a wah-wah pedal housing to control turning on/off the vibrato and control the speed of the vibrato on my 1980 Super Reverb from a pedal ?

You'd need to wire the pedal into the control portion ---inline with either speed or depth part of circuitry. Depends on which you want to vary while playing.

I believe that the original Cry-Baby is an active circuit, which trims high and low frequencies off the tone --- depending on pot position. Not passive controls, like the ones used in most Fender amps. You would need to modify both the amp and the pedal to use it as an outboard control for vibrato.

UPDATE: I had it done, and it works great! And no drilling or major change to the amp. Just unplug and it works like stock.
Thanks

Hey! Thanks, for reporting back. :D

You wouldn't happen to have a schematic or photos of the DIY-mod? Be interested in how the tech wired the speed & depth controls from the amp's circuit board to the pedal. Without getting noise or the infamous "ticking."
