A buddy who does house repo found an old stereo tube amp that had these Raytheon 12AX7's in it
The most notable thing was that they tested as perfectly matched and off the charts when compared to new tubes.
seldom does a new tube even make it to mid 70's on my tester, these tested double 82's on all three
The only code I can find is B12 on all three tubes

Chris,

Those are Japanese made Raytheon tubes. I believe that Toshiba was granted sub-contractor license to build 12AX7 and 12AX7A tubes for Raytheon starting in the early 1960's. They used Raytheon made jigs and dies --- under license. They are very good tubes.

Japanese made Raytheon tube had yellow labels. US made ones usually had red labels.

I was sure you would know !
Kinda figured they were off shore production , talk about perfect matching !
I do believe that If i didn't trade, sell or give away any That I might just have a lifetime supply of awesome 12AX7 and or 5751 now.......
Life is Good 8)
Thanks again for adding to our collective tube knowledge ! Informed tube heads are what we need LOL !

Chris,

You'll notice my new nom-de-plume is BMW2002Tii. For some reason when they upgraded the board, it would not accept my old name BMW2002Ti.

A conspiracy, I tell you!

That stinks, I was trying to find some of your old postings regarding pio cap suggestion and ran into a brick wall. There's gotta be something Brad can do to restore your old posts.

Abe, I don't think so. I can't even find any account information on BMW2002Ti.

Anyhow, I can try to answer any questions on PIO and other caps.

Beemer's old post are still on the forum. All it takes is a Member Search:

BMW2002Ti

I also suggest you contact Brad. I'm sure he can fix it so you can use your original username and maybe get a new password.

Jerry
