I have been looking for info but it is
scarse some sources say 25 watts some say 40
I know it has the showman size tranny so i would
believe the 40. and also it is the 5g13 which from
the layout online does not have a tapped treble pot
just a regular 250k audio. Anyone had one or heard one
How does it sound ?

Thanks Lee

There were several itinerations of the Brownface Vibrasonic, mainly the 5G13 or 6G13-A circuit.

It is a 40Watt amp. This is confirmed by the original JBL speaker used, the JBL D130F.

The D130F is a variant specifically produced for Music Amps and is rated at 35-60 Watts for full-spectrum use (HiFi) and 100 Watts for a Guitar.

John B. Lansing Co. (JBL) produced the 'F' series at Fender's request as Fender was starting to produce more powerful Pro amps. The 'F' actually stands for Fender - JBL's biggest customer, though Fender had nothing to do with the design itself.

Nice Amp !

cheers!

Deluxe Reverb Blackface 22 watts amp use a 100 watts speaker ; Jensen C12K
It use 6V6 tubes

IMO . Vibrasonic with 2 X 6L6GC, more 40 watts than 25 watts
