Hi,

I'm running a 67' Silverface Bassman head (AB165 circuit) through a 4x12 Marshall 1960A cabinet (set on 4ohms) and lately its been losing power intermittently. It'll be fine one moment, and then it slowly fades out until it becomes inaudible. If I give it a light tap on the top of the head enclosure it'll usually come back to normal for a period, but it's unpredictable. I've recently re-tubed it thinking that could be the problem, however it persists...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you have a loose connection, maybe a loose tube socket connector or poor solder joint(s).

I agree with a possible loose connection, but possibly an Xfmr issue too.
