Hi everyone,

I've had a late 60's/early 70's Fender Princeton Reverb ever since I was 13 years old in 1982 or so, and it has yet to be serviced while I've owned it.

I looked in the back, and it seems to be mostly RCA and a few Sylvania tubes, and 1 or 2 I couldn't make out. The largest tube on the left is a little loose in the socket.

It hasn't been turned on in a while, as I've been focusing more on bass in the last few years. Last I remember, it functioned ok, with maybe a little hum, and some crackling in the pots.

I have recently gained a huge interest in electronics, and want to learn more about how to work on them. I'd like to know what I should study to do basic work on vintage amps like this one and possibly others.

Where should I look?

Here are some obligatory photos!

Unfortunately, some moron I let use my amp many years ago broke the knob off the intensity control- luckily, I think I still have the knob somewhere, and I never used that effect anyway.

Looks like the shaft is broken on that potentiometer and it will need to be replaced to put the amp back in top shelf condition.

As far as resources, my friend between google and youtube you can find info on just about anything ya might want to know and a lot ya don't LOL !!!

Nice amp by the way 8)
