I am rebuilding a '74 Quad Reverb that I picked up. I have had some stumbling blocks along the way and I have over come them , except one. The 10k trim bias pot from the original has 4 wipers on it. It has the typical three that a normal pot would and one that is directly across from those three. The one singled out wiper has a 100uf/100v capacitor going to it. I have no idea why this pot has four wipers but I felt with the cap going to it that it must serve some kind of purpose. I was hoping that it was just a ground wiper and that soldering the cap to the back of the pot would be the same purpose? Help please

You may talk about bias balance pot ?

The lug you talk about is a " fixed center tap" lug . It is not a ground . Bias power supply feed this balance pot wich feed the pot and tubes ant tremolo .

Did you have this original bias pot ? Or you want to use an aftermarket 3 lugs pot ?
Don't you have the schematic ?

Schematic here ;
