http://www.thomann.de/gr/harley_benton_g212_vintage.htm Hey people! I would like to ask is this cab will be useful for my Bassman 70(i think it's around 77' or 78') head? The amp is 4ohm, and the cab 8ohm or 16ohm what's the difference?

Thank's much!

What is a Bassman 70 ? year or model ? Never see a Fender Bassman 70

Anyway a Bassman which use original Fender 2 speakers need to see 4 ohms impedance to have the better tone and save Output Transformer and Output tubes.

Short answer ;
You must plug a 4 ohms speaker cab , higher or lower impedance is not recommended . You can run safely for short time , I do for test , not for gigging .

The cab you want to buy is not for Fender Bassman I know.

This cab have two Celestion vintage 30 . These speaker are avalaible in 8 or 16 ohms each
A cab with two 8 ohms speakers can be wired in 4 or 16 ohms .
A cab with two 16 ohms can be wired in 8 or 32 ohms

How they can get 8 ohms ? Did the put 4 ohms series resitor with 4 ohms wiring = 8 ohms ?

Thank's for infos.

Very good question , sorry I don't know, but it is not a cab for your amp or you buy 2 cabs you use in 8 ohms each to make a 4 ohms load .
