Finally got around to re grilling my Bandmaster heads thanks to Retro. Thought I'd share some before and after photos.

Before shots of the BMR and BR.

Thought I'd give this material a shot, but looked like crap.

Art,

Definitely looks more period-correct. You gonna scratch build the drip-edge corners?

Indeed......they turned out right sweet IMO.

From "abused" to merely "used". Definitely worthy of the effort.

Give me a materials list and cutting instructions and I'll gladly get to work. :D

I can't find those anywhere without having to pay an arm and a leg for them.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Get yourself some of that aluminized muffler tape, cut out four "L" shapes, and stick them at the corners. From a few feet away, you'll never know the difference.

To dull the finish to match the anodized moldings, scour the tape with a Scotch-Brite pad before you cut the pieces out.

Well done SoCal! Aligned nice and straight, and not as easy as you would think...lots of patience required.

I'd like to earn that next level with this, Bandmaster oversized cab. Still building up the courage though. :o She's gonna need a new baffle as well, the particle board has deteriorated beyond repair. Should I stick with mdf or go with ply?

Is that a removable grill frame with a glued-in baffle board?
