Vintage or Current production? I have a couple of these and they sound really good. In case I want to get a few more for future projects, are my 7025's vintage or current production tubes?
The closest tube i've been able to find that match these are the RCA 7025's, but the USA right above the 7025 label on my tubes don't line up like they do on the RCA's I saw.
Thanks in advance.
These are the RCA's I've seen taken from KCA web site.

Abe,

Those are real RCA 7025's. Most excellent tubes, as long as they test high.

Congrats. :D

BTW: Ever try out that TS 5U4GB? I snatched up another sleeve of NOS mil-spec black plates. Best 5U4GB out there (IMHO). And that is saying a lot, as many US companies made very good 5U4GB's.

Steve,

No way to test them other than to stick them in my amps and play them, and they indeed are excellent tubes. I put one in my DRRI and the other in my BMR.

No, I haven't tried that 5U4GB yet. I've been procrastinating a bit due to the fact that the current rectifier in the BMR is a vintage, made in the good ol' usa tube as well. I've heard that these can last a looooooooooooooooong time. :) The last time I biased the BMR, that rectifier was putting out some good voltage. I believe I was getting about 440V at the plates. :D

Abe,

Good deal. Those 7025 last forever, too.

The flat sided micas give the true clue as a real RCA. RCA also rebranded tubes from other manufacturers and they didn't have the same mica.
