Just wondering what the best options for having a 60's C12N speaker re-coned in the north central U.S. are. I know there are places out east and in Calif. but is there any other trustworthy places. I thought there was good one in Michigan somewhere, can't remember the name of it.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't Weber re-cone vintage Jensens? Think they're in Kokomo, IN.

Dusty's Speaker Reconing Service up in Connecticut does outstanding work......

He's done a number of vintage JBL's and Jensen's for me and can perform full cosmetic restorations as well.

+1

Dusty did my C12NA (and a few other Jensens) that I have in my DR and it's the best speaker for that amp IMO.

It's the one pictured on the right. I have no idea what cone he used but it came out perfect! Better than any other speaker I had reconed. The C12N on the right had the original cone, which looked to be in great shape, but that speaker never sounded as good as the one I got back from Dusty.
