You're preaching to the choir, padre.

It's been a hectic season!

Low in funds after Christmas so I am building a new fancy Finger Joint Jig for my Tablesaw. Pictures soon! Should work a lot better than my quick and dirty Jig I used on the 5E3 Cabinet.

Slow. I put up a pegboard for hanging tools. Itching to build another cabinet while waiting for funds to get the 5e3 Chassis done. I have enough Pine boards to make a 2x12.

Here are a few pics of my progress on my Finger Slotting Jig. Not complete yet. The Upright piece will be adjustable to left and right to get spacing synchronized. It will be an "L" shaped slide against a fixed back rail with slots for a stud to lock it once adjusted. A 1/2" Key will be mounted for indexing. The whole jig will slide in the Miter Rail Slots of the Tablesaw. Dado Blades will cut the bottom plate during initial setup and insure a close bottom surface around the blade. Once initial setup is done it should be all set for any other 1/2" Finger Joints I want to do. Just put it on the table set depth and go to it.

Can you change that index key to ¼-inch? That's the spec for vintage-style Fender cabs.

I could make it anything usable. I like to cut the fingers thru the top instead of a groove joint.

I had to remake the bottom plate of my Finger Jig. Once I put the Dado blades on I was not able to cut a 3/4" deep slot. it was about 3/16" short of depth. I found a nice scrap piece of 3/16" Plexi and made another Base. Now cuts full depth.

Here is the difference in base thickness.

Here is a test fit of the joint with the 1st bottom plate. Spacing fit nice but depth was cut too shallow.

I cut top, bottom and sides of my 2 x 12 speaker cabinet then finger jointed and dry fit it together.
What a breeze!
