More expensive than the Tung-Sol 6V6, but not much info other than -

: "This valve is built to stand the high voltages encountered in the Fender Deluxe Reverb and other guitar amplifiers that ran the valves above the published specification. The smooth and balanced frequency response also makes it suitable for hi-fi use."

Anyone try em yet?
Seems like just another Tung-Sol, but with a new name to rake in the green.

420 VDC is "high"?

While it is nice to see New Sensor introducing yet another tube, the lack of any USEFUL info. will have me sticking with my JJ 6V6's, which not only can take it....but sound good doing it in my drri.

If you're referencing a DRRI, why did you post this in the vintage amp forum?

The Vintage forum will more likely have better answers as to :
Tubes......and less newbie responses on how creamy they sound.
And besides the 65 DRRI according to Fender, shares the same circuitry as the 65 blackface.

I do love these in my Princeton and Princeton Reverb…

Yes they're more pricey, but tone is worth the cost.

I am partial to these for my Princeton...

https://www.kcanostubes.com/content/nos ... s-quartets

This is a good company and have bought many NOS tubes and have yet to receive a bad one!

They make my Princeton get up and talk to ya through that CTS Alnico!

Really......?

I don't ever recall seeing this CRAP inside a vintage Deluxe Reverb, '65 or any other year for that matter......

As long as my DRRI amp sits in the living room, the electrons are oblivious to any differences.

Couple of pieces of bread and you'd have yourself a turd sandwich.

I have not tried the Mullard re-issue 6V6GT's. I suspect from what others say, on other boards, that the Mullard handles the high voltage on it's plates similar to the RI Tungsol. Which I've had red plate problems. I haven't tried the TS since these issues, about two years ago. So, maybe New Sensor has sorted out this problem.

I've been using TAD 6V6GT-STR, the last few years. So far, so good. No red plating or drifting bias issues. Tone is ok. Kinda typical Shuguang. Warm mids. Not as good bass as NOS US stock. OK high notes. One thing, these tubes tend to have a lot of contaminate burn-off, in the first 20-30 hours of use. It can be quite a blue-purple light show. Not to worry, as this "haze" settles down after awhile. And doesn't seem to effect the performance of the tubes.

Are they for your pending 5E3 build?
