Hi everyone--I have a 1962 Princeton Amp in the brown color that I am trying to figure out what a fair value would be to sell it? I took it to Guitar Center but based on what I've seen on ebay and elsewhere thought they underbid. Not sure how much detail on pricing one is allowed to put on here--my amp was mine when I was a kid (probably got it used around 1967) and it's basically been in a closet since the early 70's. (I had a '64 Custom Esquire that went with it but actually sold that a few months ago.)

The amp is in fairly good shape and sounds good. It looks like the speaker was replaced with a '65 (was before I owned it) and the guy at Guitar Center surmised that it might have been a factory install due to a warranty still being in place. The only issue with it is that there's something jammed in one of the two inputs--otherwise it sounds great out of the one un-jammed input.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Read the FAQ and post some pictures...then you'll get some feedback.

Front, back, and all around the insides. Chassis serial number, tube chart, transformer serials, speaker label, etc...

+1...Condition can make a $500 or more difference sometimes. Gotta see them pics.

Without pics, this thread is nothing but a waste of forum bandwidth.

Mint is close to $1000 . Sure a store should make some money.

Actually closer to $1500 for a 10/10 example. Add a hundred bucks if the original brown footswitch and flannel Victoria cover come along for the ride.

Nice amp! :D

Definitely looks like all original parts to the circuit (except for the speaker). Big selling item, for collectors. Bet that the amp sounds great.

I can't see, from the chassis photo, what is stuck in Input 2. Maybe a close-up of the jack from the chassis side may show what it is.
