Clean looking amp! Looks like the balance pot circuit has already been reverted to a bias pot. Irons looks to be in great shape. Nice push-back wiring.

Bet it sounds great! :D  :D

Oh man what a beauty! Congrats! 8)

That's Arjay's long lost amp right there :)

Is it an early '68? What circuit is that? The date stamp on the chassis is early, but not sure about the speaker date...

The dichotomy between the chassis's date stamp and the speaker production codes is curious......

The amp is an AB763 revision and the wiring seems to be original and unmolested.

It's a nice one.

Amp circuit board and chassis are in great shape. The resistors on the bias pot and screen look like they were replaced.

It appears that the amp may once have had a balance pot setup. See the abandoned strip connector, on the chassis, between the board & bias pot? These would have held those 10k-ohm resistors unique to the balance pot circuit. My WAG, anyhow.

Great amp! :D

I stand by my assertion.

:D

Thank you all 8) !!!

I have to say I'm very impressed with the overall tone of this amp. Simply put - it has a typical Black Face tone, with added punch, extra bottom response and huuuge tone.

The mods are yet to come ..

I think the speakers are not original to the amp.

The 4th one is Utah.

Anyway, all 4 are to go to the storage soon .. as I prefer modern speakers in old amps ..

Are you sure the fourth speaker is a Utah...basket looks more like it is a Swiss Cheese ceramic CTS speakers. My '65 Super Reverb came with those ceramic CTS's and I love em!

And thanks for the additional amp porn!

The Utah speaker definitely did not come as OEM issue in that amp -- the EIA code of 328222 indicates that it was manufactured in the 22nd week of 1972.

Very nice amp. As far as the postal deal, it's more like, "Santa Claus is coming to town."

Welcome to the Super Reverb Club. That is a very clean amp!! Much cleaner than mine when I first got it. The new speakers is an added bonus. Let know how they sound.

Hope it brings you years of enjoyment!

Jerry
