Finally got this DIY from FedEx. Initial reviews are pretty good, except for the problem with the distance between hold-down knurled knobs and the plates of the head.

Distance between hold down screw = 23-1/2 inches. Distance between plates at max = 23-1/4 inch. :( :( :(

The cab is cool, Beemer !!! You can have my '68 Bassman head cab to relocate your slide mounts and keep your's stock. I'll look for my extra slider brackets. Maybe they have enough material to elongate the slots.....Ok, found them. There is 1/4" beyond the outside slot. All your's, if you need them. Art

Art,

Very cool! Thanks. Think of some tubes you may like in exchange. Will email you.

Art,

I got the amp head to fit the cab, by elongating the knurled knob attachment plate hole a bit. Thanks, for the offer.

Beemer...That new cab and your achieving full tiltness with it rates a Holy Schmokes on the T2 Scale :!: :!: :!:

Did you test out the new cab (nice speaker choice by the way) at 2:00AM :?:

T2,

3:00am.

Great bass. Nice mids. Clean highs. Those two speakers move a lot of air, on demand. Heavy bass notes can get the floor joists moving at "7" pretty easily. Will test it against the Tremolux, tonight.

Thanks, for the nice words.

BMW2002Ti,

Great looking cabinet!! Glad you were able to make the hardware work.

The amp looks very nice too.

Does using two different speaker brands give you better tones than two of the same brand would ?

Jerry

Thanks, Jerry & Jim. Ppl told me that the combo is a good one. Power of the V30 and harmonic tones of the Weber alnico. So far so good.
