Got my 66 SR in and it needs some tube socket cleaning. It has the original tubes from that the amp came with but would like to get the same tubes used or some awesome replacements. The amp is completely orignal and it amazing, except I'm having an issue where the amp jumps to volume level 20 and gets extremely scratchy.

Any help with identifying the orignials or great replacements would help a lot.

Both the tube chart within the cabinet and the schematic will indicate the specific tube types you need.

Welcome to the Forum!

You prolly also need to run some good contact cleaner through the pots. "Scratchy" usually = dirty pots.

I use Deoxit DN-5 or GN-5. Good luck!

Need volume to be cleaned. Tubes ; any good quality 6L6 will do the job . Do you want to fix the amp by yoursel ? Cleaning volume pot , replace tubes with new bias ?

Any help with identifying the orignials or great replacements would help a lot.

Congrats. I have a 65 BFSR and I run NOS tubes. RCA Black Plate 6L6 power tubes, A GZ34 Mullard for a rectifier, and NOS Sylvanias and RCA's for the pre-amp tubes.

Here are some tube sites I have used in the past with very good luck.

You should be able to find some replacements at one of those places.
