For this amp, I would use either EH 6L6, or GT 6L6 GE.

Agree 100%. Also, I've had good success with the new Tungsol 6L6GC-STR. I've put them into UL TR's and McIntosh hi-fi amps that push the tubes hard. So far, so good.

I've seen your posts praising those Tung Sol, so I just ordered a quad to check out. Made in the same factory (or factories now) as the EH (Reflektor). Most of my favorite tubes come from that same place, and all have been very good or great. I think that they have almost all of the best brands, EH, Tung Sol, Mullard, Svetlana, Sovtek, and others. :)

Here some picture of the beast , now it is working fine .

Long time a go the customer made a head with the cab . His father in law give him the combo with speaker s missing or broken.

Cool!

That's a lot of power in such a relatively small package.

Yes it is very very small chassis for such power , same size as a Super Reverb ( 45 watts) I have for a job . Very tight in the cab , not easy to put in . I can see that CBS built cheap / low cost mounting bracket for this chassis , not same as Black face .
