A studio clearout has revealed what APPEARS to be a Vibrolux Reverb Head .. which elsewhere in these forums, I learned Does Not Exist. Black casing, black everything in fact. Have I found a diamond, or is it junk or fake?

I've seen these and other Fender combos turned into just heads.

They're not original, but aftermarket conversions.

Nothing wrong with them, but their value is diminished, and of course, you have to have a separate speaker cab.

cheers!

I'd have to qualify that assertion.

As a ratty silverface Bandmaster head, this amp was worth five bills, $525 at most......

"Re-arranged" as a 2 x 10 combo though, I've turned down offers for $1100.

It really just depends on what it is, how skillfully the transformation was executed, and most importantly, how it sounds.
