Have a 1974 Twin Reverb Amp. The reverb tank went. So, I bought a new one. Sounded great! Until, I used it after a year of storage, and, no reverb. Checked tank, wires etc. Is there a tube that controls reverb? I have a new spare 12ax7 if it is of any use in this matter. Thank You for your time!

Reverb driver (V3) is a 12AT7. Reverb recovery (V4a) is a 12AX7/7025.

+ 1 bluesky

Also check wires from the reverb tank to the amp AND the RCA socket may often need some cleaning .

Did you put something into the tank to keep the springs from moving or sagging, during its time in storage?

Is this some recently-discovered phenomenon?

I've owned Fender amps that sat unused and unmoved for years in a few instances and never had an issue with sagging reverb springs.
