OK, here's one video, not the greatest quality... I'll see who else has any.

I still say you got a smokin' guitar tone on that video, CB.

Even if you're playing a guitar built by those "other guys".

(a superb Fender amp can make any electric instrument sound heavenly)

And that is the truth! I don't need no stinking pedals, just turn it up and play!

Indeed.

And that IS the true Fender sound.

Cedarblues...Now THAT is what I am talking about! Albert King was smiling after watching that! The vibrolux was talking some tone to that ES345!

Thanks for posting that!

Unfortunately the VLR didn't make it that night, it needs a little TLC...

What you're hearing is the sweet sound of a 6V6 amp dimed

Well if that is the case, looks like I need to add a Deluxe to the amp family!

Well it is not like I haven't been busy...lets see the last few years I have acquired a '65 Super Reverb, a '66 Bassman, and refurbs of TWO '69 Bantam Bass Amps...I haven't actually been sitting on my arse!

But a Deluxe is on the list.

I know, I know......don't go all "high PRF" on me!

Scoring a choice piece of vintage Fender gear should always be regarded as a "target of opportunity".......we buy 'em as we find 'em.

The DR should've been on the list right after your 65 SR!

I'd love to add a nice BFDR to the list, but they're way too pricey... mine is a '75 and it's one sweet sounding amp! At any volume! So you can't go wrong with a SFDR either...

You got that right...targets of opportunity...hard to find a BFDR or a SFDR around here, Supers seem to be a dime a dozen around here, but with DR's it is hard to get someone to turn one loose. Guess I will have to console myself with my lowly Super and Bassman until that DR comes along

So Cedar, your Super is just sitting collecting dust? I have been hunting that Bassman for a long time...and as Arjay said, "Targets of Opportunity" when the right DR comes along, I will snatch it up by it's power cord!
