Can anyone give me an idea what a 68 2x15 (D130F) tall cab is worth?

I'm considering selling mine, all original, not reconed. Tolex is in pretty good shape.

I love this cab, I've had it since about 1970. But it is so big, I never use it.

Nobody uses those behemoths anymore. Folks on Ebay can't give them away.

Best thing to do is part it out -- the D130F's, if serviceable, are likely worth $175 to $225 each. The box is basically worthless except for its intrinsic value to some eccentric collector.

Thanks, that makes sense. The same problem I have with the cab, it's huge.

Yes, the speakers are fine.

Thanks Arjay; was going to pull the trigger on one for our bass player to use my showman.

That being said, trying to find more uses for my '65 Showman. It's too loud as a guitar amp for our stages except outside, but with the right cab, could make a great bass amp and an upgrade to our bass player, who has an Ampeg B50-R 50 watt solid stae.

Any suggestions on good used cabs for a Showman (8 ohms)? Something 4x10 or smaller...

thanks!

SWR makes some pretty nice cabs in several configurations -- 2 x 10, 4 x 10, 1 x 15. The original Showman and Dual Showman cabs are pretty sad excuses for a credible bass enclosure.
