Hi
I have been playing for about 4-5 years and today i got rid of my marshall fx something. I got Dluxe Reverb 65 as people said it was a all purpose amp and the people in the store reccomended it

Now this is my first "real" amp and its damn hard to understand!

1. How long should the power stand on before i turn the standby on?
2. I think somone said that i sholdnt turn it right off but do something, what is that?

3. Sometimes it makes a... chugg chugg sound like a train... why is that?
4. I cant hear any difrence while using the foot controller, what am i doing wrong?

5. When i turn the standby on/off (Since somone told me to only turn that off instead of the power and only turn the power off when i go to bed) it makes a bang noise, is that suppose to happend?
6. What is the point of having normal and vibrato... inputs? Since vibrato has more stuff you can do :3

7. Is fender amps best used only with fender guitars? I have a Fender squier classick and a les paul.
8. It also got realy hot, is it dangures? what can i do to prevent it?

Thanks for all answers, to you others im sorry for wasting your time

1- Two minutes is a minimum .

2- To turn OFF : stanby ON , power OFF . No problem if you put power OFF first . Don't forget Stanby for the next Power On

3- ???? Tubes ?
4 - Foot switch defect , conexions to amp broken ?

5- It happend often in any tubes amp. It is Stanby switch arcing , nothing you can to do to fix.

6- I don't understand question .

7 - Fender are best amps with any guitar
8 - What or where is realy hot ?

Second hand, you must say that first .

I have never hear a seller tell the amp is not alright

First check if the fuse is the right one , too powerfull , the amp is not protected . Many amp owner replace a blow fuse by a too powerfull .

Second , if amp have their Output Power tube bias ( too ) hot = more heat , shorter tubes's life.

If this is Ok , forget the heat . You amp is normal
