That is the first thing that came to my mind, maybe not really a problem, maybe just part of the sound. :idea:

Here's a photo showing "F412 67".
All 4 speakers have the same code. Anybody have an idea what make these are?

FENDER AMP SPEAKER CODES
This chart will identify the speaker brand used in your amp.
Fender used speakers manufactured by the following companies:

Altec-Lansing -#391
CTS - #137
Electro-Voice -#649
Eminence -#67
Jensen - #220
Oxford - #465
Rola -#285
Utah -#328

Or here ; there is no F 412 ;

Here is a better photo of the previous one plus another speaker which I had removed.
I too couldn't find a corresponding code online. Maybe someone can identify the basket structure etc from the previous photo?

These speakers are CTS alnico's, standard fare for a Super Reverb of this era. The digits marked on the mounting flange are likely an in-house manufacturer's P/N. The actual EIA code containing the date info is located on the magnet shield, beneath the Fender sticker.

There is nothing wrong with these speakers that a quality re-cone wouldn't fix.
