Almost... complete address needs URL info... as in:

{URL=http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/realfarmgirl/media/landscapes/0730002032.jpg.html]{img}http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i445/realfarmgirl/landscapes/0730002032.jpg{/img}{/URL}

where: [URL replaces {URL at the beginning. And [/URL] replaces {/URL}, at the end.

Thanx for the help guys, and WOW, this thing is truly amazing. It does it all, started with my CS 56 Kendrick strat, sweet , then grabed my CS 335, HOLY SMOKIES.
I have a few to comare it to, a 69 SR, 70 TR, 73 VR, an 74 Pro reverb. These things are truly little gems

hogrydr, sorry not Arjay... I believe that number is not the manufacturing date, but rather refers to a specific patent number for a circuit design. A Fender accounting number and not a US patent number.

The Patent numbers on the tube chart pertain to original Western Electric and AT&T basic circuit designs that Leo used to make the circutry. Such as the input section topolgy, type of phase inverter circuit, gain stage, and output stage. And the design of the bias power supply. RCA bought the rights of these circuits from WE and AT&T --- and are featured in the famous RCA Receiver Manuals, that formed the basis of many of Leo's amp designs.

This is another reason why Fender used primarily RCA tubes in their amps. RCA supposedly gave him a better deal, due to patent costs, than other tube manufacturers.

+1

Each vintage Fender amp model had one of those cryptic two-digit codes and all were distinct and specific to that particular amp type. I believe it's purpose was for in-house factory reference.

I have a question...

What would be the pros and cons between a 1965 Princeton Reverb....

Or

A 1965 Princeton (non-reverb) coupled with the separate 1965 Reverb Unit?

(assuming evereything is correct and original, not re-issue or modified)

Thanks

Rich, That should be very cool!!! I use an outboard reverb unit with a couple mid '60 Fender amps. Pros.... more reverb and tone control with the 6G15 and amp. Cons....possible noise due to joining two seperate amps(ground loop, noisy tubes, components, or connecting cable( I use George L). JMHO, Art
