I am a electronics technician and I like to work on tube driven equipment (mostly radios and electrical switch gear or panels). I picked up a Fender 1979 Bassman Ten 70 watt amp from a school district auction a few months ago. So far I have since tested and/or replaced most of the tubes in the amp. I also went through the capacitors, pots and other components with my fluke meter. It does work and I had a friend of mine test it with his bass guitar and he said it sounds find to him. The original 7025 tubes tested good so I left them in there. I replaced the 6L6GCs and the 12AX7 preamp tubes. I also had to replace three knobs (one was broken, one was missing its silver middle cover and one well worn). The last pieces I replaced were the pilot light and jewel (The knobs, light and jewel are all official fender parts). The exterior is decent condition it has a few places where the cover is slightly torn towards the bottom and the silver mesh is in perfect shape with the original fender logo. There is a professional music shop in town I am going to bring it to this afternoon and have them play it and give me feed back.

From the few bassman tens I have seen on ebay and other sites they are selling for anywhere between 575 and 800.

My question is what is this amp worth to someone looking to buy one?

I am trying to get my pics uploaded so I can post them. I will pot them as they get uploaded.

That's the typical price range for those ultra-linear Bassman Ten amps.
