Tung-Sol built some beautiful bottles back in the day.

Their 5881's and 6550's were simply amazing.

I believe that I bought some parts from VTS a long time ago. I think that the sale went fine. At least, I don't have a real bad memory of them.

I know, that doesn't help much. :)

I'll ask my secretary for old records.

I don't think she does much in the way of file-clerking.

Had some 5881's(awesome tubes) in a tweed bassman. I even bought a spare set. The box said property of the Howard Hughs corp. Now if you can find them the sell for crazy prices.

+1

Those T-S 5881's are awesome. I've been hoarding a matched pair from '63, waiting for a 5F6-A Bassman or a 6G4 Super Amp to find its way to me. Someday......(sigh!).

Cool Arjay,we agree about something. Btw I got knocked on my $@! with that amp. I was messing around with preamp tubes when it was still on and did not realize or become not to careful and got my hand in the wrong spot. All I remember is my wife yelling up the stairs if I was ok. What ever went on she heard it.

Ouch!

Hey, at least she didn't have to call the paramedics.

An ambulance ride to the ER now costs about five hundred bucks!

Stay safe, sir.

Its about 1,200 where im from. Had a ride two years ago, the hospital I went to was closing down and could not admit anyone. Just the ER was going. So I had to stay in a hospital. So they had another ambulance take me to a different hospital. So I got hit twice with the fee.

Yes for the ER,and 2 days in the shop. Just a small part for the rides. I give them 20 bucks a month and they dont give me any grief.

Well that's better than a poke in the eye with a hot shish kabob skewer.

Glad things turned out okay.
