Hi --

Probably just about to purchase a 68 bassman cabinet, but it is missing a handle. Does anyone know where one of these might be acquired.

The seller also says it is missing a "side plate". Does anyone know what that would mean?

Thanks.

Mike

A '68 Fender Bassman enclosure would not have tilt-back legs so the missing "side plate" cannot be that. However, virtually every piece of hardware for these cabs remains available and plentiful so whatever it happens to be, I'm sure you'll be able to procure and install it. Avoid any budget-priced replacement handle as the strap portion is too short to match up with the existing holes in the cabinet. A genuine Fender replacement is only about ten or twelve bucks on Ebay and will fit precisely and perfectly.

Darren stocks a lot of parts common to Fender amps -- vintage, re-issue, and contemporary.
