DJ, that '90's Vibroverb should be pretty cool. Nice line-up of musicians!! I'm guessing, the acoustic player(guitar?) is taking care of the full chording rhythm. So, you'd be working on Knopfler type of fills? And trying to stay out of the way of the violin and keyboard, right? Our musicians vary, depending on their schedules. But we do have a fiddle and sometimes, horns. A 2X10 35-40 watter should do you just fine, if I understand your needs. Art

I would think so. The days of the 100-watt behemoth (combo or stack) are long over, at least for indoor venues.

I like to believe that I play Knopfler-like fills haha. Thank you Art and Arjay for your helpful feedback. I'll definitely start looking around for a good deal on an amp in that range.

djsuperdock...I would add one amp to your search. A Bantam Bass amp. They are 30 watts so certainly louder and cleaner than a Deluxe but not nearly into the Super Reverb Territory. They are SR size, but weigh not even half as much, so easier on the old back! You would have to do some surgery and replace the crappy Yamaha speaker and put in a new baffle unless you find one already done.

They make a great platform. These amps take pedals well too. I have re-furbed two of these (made one a 1x15, the other a 2x12) and while I did the second one with an eye towards selling to help fund a BF Bassman head, I will certainly miss this amp once it is gone.

Pro Reverb are great as well as Vibroverb. I play in a church band-contemporary christian stuph. I use a bandmaster head and 2x12 cab. The early silverface non-master volume 40 watt amps are much better than new amps. They breakup nicely and can still be had for less than a new reissue. You might need to have it checked out by a tech and replace a few parts, but it'll last for decades.

Just curious. You said the 212r is 'limited'. What does that mean? In what way is it limited?
