Mercury Magnetics offers tranny re-winding but he'd have to send his off for overhaul. And such service is not cheap. But for an otherwise original blackface Pro Reverb, that's what I'd do.

Thank's, I know about MM and I wrote to Patrick Selfridge for price. There must be some other guy or small shop in LA ?

Louis, I'll contact my old friend at ICS. He's a prop master, they restore vintage amps to original specs, for the movie and TV industry. They don't mess around in their shop, every thing is real!!!! Art

Sorry, Louis. My friend said that they farm out the repairs to commerical rebuilders. He suggested the usual Google effort to locate a reasonable rebuilder. He also mentioned that North Hollywood is kind of a center for the vintage amp industry! Art

I just receive an answer from Patrick Selfrige / Mercury Magnetics

Hi Louis,

Yes we can rewind them exactly as they were inside and out.
The OT would be $250 and the PT $400
We are back about 3 weeks on rewinds right now.
Thanks.

Patrick
