Does anyone on here own an original Fender Woodie? They must be extremely rare. I've seen some strange and unique items on ebay not one woodie amp...ever.

There's some detailed info in "Soul of Tone" and I found one youtube demo.

I got a Fender woody the other day. It happened when I was at a friends house and saw both of his original '65 Deluxe Reverbs at the same time. 8)

If there's no pictures, it didn't happen.

That must be a seriously early model. The lack of details/fit/finish make it look homemade. In 1946 Fender may have still been a small operation working out little more than a garage.

That power transformer looks huge compared to the rest of the amp.

I wonder if the seller would take my car for the amp?

Well, I own a 1948 Champion 600 and a 1947 Model 26. The Model 26 is over at a friend's house, now. I use the Champion 600 about once or twice a month.

I'm jealous.

I notice that your model 26 looks more 'production worthy' that the one linked to above.

Cheers,
