The 1968 Super Reverb could be one of two circuit revisions, based on when it was made. Those amps made prior to May had the AB763 chassis. Subsequent models used the AC568 configuration.

Stratele, I think the BFSR ended production in 1967. At least the cabinet style. Circuit designs are as Arjay posted.

My first brand-new Fender amp was a '67 Super Reverb, purchased in August of that year. It was a drip-edge silverface with black-line front panel, snowman knobs, patent-pending tiltback legs, alnico CTS speakers, and a build date of late July. I'd assume that blackface cosmetics had been officially retired by then, at least for the Super Reverb model. Most of the other amps in Fender's line had also switched over to silverface but I've seen one documentable example of a blackface Bassman built in October of 1967.

You thought right, mon amí......up until Avril of 1968 the amp *was* a blackface circuit (ie: AB763). In Mai of that year, the wiring was changed to the AC568 revision. But both amps used the identical drip-edge silverface cosmetics.
