I want to apologize to everyone for acting like a brat earlier. I've seen this from the other side on a forum before and know that trying to explain myself will only make things worse.

I didn't mean to insult or offend anyone in the thread where I asked for help. I asked for help privately and was advised that asking everyone would be better because a lot of people know about my "new" amp.

To blueskies, I thought you read my response where I quoted your questions and typed what was happening. Then I didn't understand what the Canadian guy was saying and I'm married to a Canadian and sometimes forget that that doesn't give me permission to make fun of other Canadians, just my wife.

I have been in self-destruct mode in real life too lately. Impatient and going off for the dumbest reasons. I won't bore you with any other details that are somewhat a factor in how I have been acting.

But learning guitar this past year has been a blessing and the only way I can get my mind off of some things. I don't drink or do drugs so I can't escape things that way.

I'm sorry calling my recent acquisition of a different amp a "new" amp. I'm sorry for getting frustrated at all of the questions that I didn't understand or know the answer to.

There were a lot of people here that I thought were good people. They may be, but today I saw a different side of people I once immediately read a new post of theirs if I saw one.

Internet forums are not important to me. And I know some people will always think I'm an a$$hat. That's fine.

I don't think I said anything that was worthy of a ban, but if others feel differently I can't do anything about that.

I just want to say a few more things about my amp thread. 1) when I said that the amp was just looked at by a qualified tech, it was, and the man has earned my trust and respect and I believed him when he said the amp sounded beautifully when he tested it with a Fender and an LPJ right before shipping it to me. 2) I was just saw a luthier the day before and was shocked by their hourly rate before adding the cost of any parts....so I was hoping to find help here or from the seller so that I wouldn't have to take it to a tech. And last, I figured out what was wrong with it and I don't know anything. The tip on the one tube that was removed from the amp and wrapped separately had a black circular plastic thing that must have broken during shipping.

So there you go. I'm glad I could make you all feel better about yourselves and bring you all closer together.

I've seen nineteen different mea culpas this week and every damned one of them was more sincere than that.

I'm certain that somewhere there's a beach substrate in desperate need of a thorough beat-down.

Over and OUT!

I read the other thread. I saw all of the little jokes you guys made at my expense and all the private messages you talked sending each other which were clearly about me or the thread but you wouldn't post in public.

You loved it. You must feel like you started a cool kid clique in high school. And you're fooling yourself if you're disagreeing with what you cherry picked out of my apology.

Most of what I wrote wasn't an apology. I only directly insulted or poked fun at a few people in that thread.

Most of everything else I said ended up being exactly what I didn't want to do - which was try to explain myself. A lot of the people that were posting in that thread I didn't recognize and don't know. I dont have much time to read these forums and I only know a few people's user names.

I don't know how you can read my apology and ignore everything that I admitted to doing wrong and everything I was sorry about typing.

I mean seriously, I PM'd you for help about that amp. We've sent PM's back and forth with you advising me on good or bad decisions on amps that I've found in the past. And I appreciate that. So when you said to ask the forum I did.

And I can't say this enough times, but I answered as many questions as I could and tried to explain the amp problem in the best way that I could so that someone may have been able to understand me and recognize the problem and help me fix it.

Instead, it turned into ripping on me because I called my amp "new" or "asked for help but didn't give any information." I spent half of that time taking pictures of everything and getting them online. Because those pictures could tell you a lot more about the amp than I could.

All I know is I found the right amp. And you are one to thank for that because you advised me against bad choices and flaws in overpriced amps that I didn't see.

I'm done asking for you for your opinion. And instead of reading your posts like you invented amps I'm done reading your opinion about amps.

And there is one final thing that I want to say to you before I never speak or think of you again. I had a huge amount of respect for you before today. All of the threads that you've made to teach people and help them learn you really seemed like a good guy, not like the arrogant db's who only post to correct someone's claim or to rip on an amp.

I'm completely surprised by you. You're not who I thought you were, that is for sure. Goodbye forever, dude. Best of luck to the Queen of Gossip.

I missed the first thread but this one made me go back and read the whole thing. HI-larious!

I quoted and reposted all your posts in this one since you have a habit of flushing the evidence later on.

Hey PTM, are you gonna tell us about your tour through the Corona facility?

Did you shoot any pics?

Missed the photos, too. A Champ is a pretty simple amp to work on (all things considered). I suppose it's a good thing this wasn't an UL Fender or Heaven forbids --- a Fender PS amp. May have been epic.

Guys, stop being a jerk to this kid, He doesn't know how a valve Fender amp works, I know how I should treat a valve amp
1. Turn on the power
2. leave it in standby for a minute, this warms up the valves
3. turn off standby into the "ON" position
4. rock out and have some fun setting the EQ :D
