Hi guys,

I recently bought a Fender BF Bandmaster and matching 2x12 cab.
Today I opened up the amp and noticed an additional jacket on the back, on the inside it looks like it's being connected to the speaker jacket. Does anyone have a clue what's been done and maybe to what purpose?

I also opened the cabinet and found some Fender speakers, looks like these are kinda new (no wear or whatsoever). Could you guys help identify these?

Thanks in advance :D

RDW88, welcome to the Forum! :D

1.) Maybe a modified circuit for a headphone?

2.) Utah speaker = 328. Prolly made 1965 or 1975 (5). 48th week. [328-548]

The mystery jack is likely a line-out provision for connecting directly to a recording console or PA system.

Utah's label format for use as OEM Fender equipment changed to a silver-and-orange motif in late '67 or early '68. Thus, the speaker dates to 1965.

Anytime.

Got some pics of the entire amp you'd care to share?

Blackface Bandmaster where made from 1965 to 1967 so the speaker must be a 1965 . Or it not the original speaker ( ? )

In 1975 it is Silverface

Yes, jack could be a Line Out , there are a pot connected.

As mentioned, Utah speakers used as OEM in Fender amps after late '67 featured this style of label as seen on this example from 1972......

The "081810" ink-stamped adjacent to the EIA code is FMI's in-house factory P/N for a Bandmaster or Pro Reverb speaker.

Early 1966. The output tranny and choke carry FEI-formatted P/N's.

Pretty clean.
